Gurumandir, Karanja
Swami Bramhanand
Saraswati, a great disciple of Shri Vasudevananda Saraswati and a
renowned Dattabhakta, has been instrumental in establishing Shri
Gurumandir. The house where Shri Nrusimha Saraswatiswami was born is
owned by the famous Ghude family. They acquired it from the
descendents of the Kale family in which Shri Nrusimha Saraswati was
born.
In the early 1930s, when the plans for
the temple were conceived, Shri Narharpant Ghude, the doyen of the

family, agreed to make available a part of his large house for the
construction of the temple.

The
Gurumandir Trust has drawn up very good programmes for
enabling the devotees to perform 'seva'. One can
sponsor vaious pujas either on a desired day or,
year after year on a specified day. |

Today,
Shri Gurumandir has not only become an important address in the
region, but is also a great 'shraddhasthan' for devotees of Lord
Shri Dattatreya. Visiting devotees feel spiritually satisfied and
contented upon visiting the temple. A visit to the Gurumandir temple
has inspired many a devotee to undertake charitable/religious
activities in life.
